About Keith's Code
Site Purpose

The purpose of this site is, simply put, to share knowledge.

"A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle" -Kahlil Gibran

That quote tells exactly why I wanted to build this site. If I have even the slightest bit of knowledge that someone else can use and it's sitting dormant and idle, then I've done an injustice to the world. I don't claim to be an expert in all the areas that this site will touch, I merely want to share what little knowledge I have and hope that it enriches someone elses life.

If you have an idea for something that will make this site even more useful, please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Site Motivations

My motivation for creating this site is that I know there are more important things in life than computers.

I have spent so much of my time and life working on computers, building computers, fixing other people's computers, writing stupid little scripts so I won't have to deal with the same problem again, and generally wasting away in front of a monitor. So, I built this site in the hopes that I have just one thing that someone else can use, saving them some time, and giving them the opportunity to get up and do anything else (although, knowing the way that I and like-minded think, saving a couple minutes on one project means having the time to expand the scope of the next project, thereby negating any time saved).

Nonetheless, that's my motivation. Although I thoroughly enjoy programming, designing, and just generally tinkering, I'd much rather be speding time with my wife and tending a nice hot barbecue grill, so if I can find something that will allow me to pry myself away from the computer a few minutes earlier, I'm all for it. If I find one of those shortcuts, I'll be sure to post it somewhere on the site.

Helping Out

If you are interested in helping the cause, there are a number of things you can do:

Send Me Ideas

I'm always looking for new content for the site and new ideas about things that can go here. If you have an idea or need help with something, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Tell me you're using the information

Register on the site (it's free) and leave a note in the forums about where you're using the information. I like to know that it's helping.

Buy Me a Book

My Amazon.com Wish List

My Amazon.com wishlist has a lot of books that I really want. Unfortunately, computer books are expensive. If you buy me a book, I'll be sure to post the fruits of my new knowledge on this site.

Make a Donation

It does take time and resources to put up a site like this, any help is appreciated.
